The edition of KOKUTAI NO HONGI inserted on JHTI is taken from the Kokutai no Hongi (Cardinal Principles of National Polity), compiled by the Ministry of Education and published by the Cabinet Office Printing Bureau in 1937. The inserted edition was printed in 1941. Each paragraph of this text, electronically reproduced, is included in JHTI.

The English translation of the KOKUTAI NO HONGI inserted on JHTI is Kokutai no Hongi. Cardinal Principles of the National Entity of Japan, translated by John Owen Gauntlett and edited with an introduction by Robert King Hall (Harvard University Press, 1949).
